Do those two words go together? Maybe. For me there's something relaxing in the making of test tiles. I guess it's just learning to love the practice.
I have about 50 new test tiles ready to go into the kiln. I make them by rolling out a 1/2" x 8" x 8" square of clay and then I cut that into 2" x 4" rectangles. Lastly, I scratch in some texture, add a little swish of clay, and turn the bottom into a base.
